Juveniles Crash Car, Taken Into Custody

Cedar Bluff Police confirmed that around midnight Sunday – Chattooga County, Georgia law enforcement officials did pursue a vehicle across the Georgia – Alabama state line onto Cherokee County Road 41,  located between Broomtown and Gaylesville.

Cedar Bluff Police Officer Dalton Cosby became involved in that chase, in the area of County Roads 91 and 141.

The chase finally came to an end after the car spun out of control and crashed into a ditch at County Road 91 and County Road 796.

The driver and a passenger – both juveniles – were taken into custody at the scene.  Neither was hurt in the wreck.  The driver was charged with Attempting to Elude and the passenger with Underage Consumption of Alcohol.

Both were released to their parents and turned over to Juvenile Probation.

The vehicle reportedly belonged to a family member of one of the juveniles.
