A twenty-eight-year-old man who had just been released from the Floyd County Jail last Thursday, found himself back behind bars after he got into a dispute with his girlfriend.
According to a report released yesterday by the Chattooga County Sheriff’s Office, Harold Cochran had just gotten home after being released from jail in Floyd County when he got into a domestic dispute with his girlfriend on Watson Road in Trion.
Cochran allegedly took a suitcase and damaged his girlfriend’s vehicle. The girlfriend said that Cochran was drunk at the time of the incident. Cochran fled the scene before deputies arrived but was located in the Mountain View area.
Cochran admitted to drinking but claimed that he didn’t damage his girlfriend’s car. The girlfriend told the responding deputy that she wanted to press charges. Cochran was booked into the Chattooga County Jail on charges of criminal trespass.
