The LaFayette City Council met on Friday of last week and voted to cancel the annual “Freedom Festival.” The event draws thousands of people to LaFayette each year to celebrate our nation’s Independence. The council did however vote to go ahead with the fireworks show.
The LaFayette City Council voted 3-2 on the issue.
The fireworks show will take place on Friday, July 3rd, just after dark.
LaFayette City officials say that social distancing guidelines will follow the then-current orders from the State of Georgia.
