Drug Dealer Arrest by Lookout Mountain Drug Task Force

Earlier this week, the Lookout Mountain Drug Task Force, along with LaFayette Police, arrested a fugitive that they say is a known drug dealer.

The Drug Task Force issued the following statement about the arrest:

On May 5th, 2020 The Lookout Mountain Drug Task Force and The Lafayette Street Crimes Unit attempted to make contact with Jermey Scott who was in possession of a quantity of Methamphetamine and also had a Felony Warrant. Officers spotted Jeremy Scott inside Ace Hardware located on North Main St. Jeremy Scott fled the building into the wooded area behind the store before officers made contact with him. Lafayette Police K9 Carlos apprehended the subject hiding in a creek after covering himself with vegetation. Scott was placed under arrest and charged with Possession of Methamphetamine with Intent to Distribute, Obstructions of Officers, and a Felony Probation Violation.
