Trion Bulldogs Have a New Head Coach

The Trion Bulldogs have a new head football coach who comes to the job from Bleckley County.  Sean Patrick was named by the Trion City School System to replace Coach Justin Brown who had announced he was leaving Trion earlier this year.

Trion Superintendent Phil Williams said that over forty applications were made for the job. Williams said, “I look for big things out of Coach Patrick and the Trion Bulldogs.

Patrick began his career in South Georgia at Emanuel County Institute where he was part of three consecutive region titles and 15 win – 0 loss season that lead Emanuel County to a Class A State Championship in 2008.

Since then Patrick has worked in Lincoln County and Houston County before moving on to Bleckley County. In his fourteen year career, Patrick has taken teams to ten state playoffs, five Region titles and a state championship.

Superintendent Williams says that Patrick is anxious to get started coaching the Trion Bulldogs when state restrictions are lifted due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
