The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported that a Georgia man refused to self-quarantine after testing positive for COVID-19, the disease caused by the coronavirus, according to officials.
“This male went out into the public endangering citizens after being told to stay inside,” the Haralson County Sheriff’s Office said in a Facebook post Sunday. The man is now in the hospital.
A judge had to step in after the man’s girlfriend did the exact same thing as her boyfriend, according to the sheriff’s office. Officials said the girlfriend refused to be tested for the virus.
“An order was signed by a judge for her to stay quarantined but she refused to comply,” the sheriff’s office said.
