Louis Medina celebrating his second consecutive state title in Macon on Saturday
Chattooga Indian Wrestling has done it again. Last month they came home with the GHSA Dual State Championship and yesterday they won the GHSA Class AA Traditional State Championship.
Five Chattooga wrestlers were crowned state champions: Griffin Jarrett became CHS’s first four-time state champion; Wes Conley is now a three-time state champion (two of those were at Armuchee High School before he transferred to CHS); Mason Sterner was also a state-champion in his weight class as was Alex Mears who won back-to-back championships. Louis Medina also brought home his second consecutive state championship.
The Chattooga Wrestling Team (190.5 team points) beat out Ogelthorpe County and Dade County for the state title.
Congratulations to the CHS Wrestling Team – GHSA State Champions!
