CHATTOOGA INDIANS BOYS BASKETBALL HAS MADE HISTORY!

The Chattooga Indians boys basketball team has made school history after securing a berth in the final four for the first time after a 67-57 win over Banks County last night.

The Chattooga Indians boys basketball team entered last night’s game celebrating their second trip to the Elite 8 in the last four years.  But the celebration was just beginning as the Indians took the big stage last night against Banks County in the Elite 8 playoff game that would prove to be a classic back and forth ballgame.  Banks County took the lead at the end of the 1st period but Chattooga would storm back in the second period to take a 3 point halftime lead 32-23.  Things did not look good at the end of the 3rd period as Banks stormed back to take a 45-42 lead in front of the home crowd.  However the Indians would shine in the all-important final period and Chattooga picked up a historic road playoff victory 67-57 to secure a spot in the final four for the first time in school history..

Chattooga’s magical run continues this Saturday night at 8 pm at the Georgia College & State University in Milledgeville as they take on Therrell to try and secure a spot in the state championship game.
