Chattooga Boys and Girls Teams Ranked #9 in AA State

The Chattooga Indians advanced to the next round of action in the Region 7AA Tournament that is being held at Chattooga High School.  The event was supposed to have started on Thursday evening but was delayed due to the rain and flooding around Northwest Georgia on Thursday.  The games got underway on Friday and will continue today.

The Chattooga Lady Indians defeated Gordon Central and the Chattooga Boys defeated Coosa in last night’s semi-final action.  Both the boys and the Lady Indians will be taking on Rockmart this evening at the Chattooga High School gymnasium.

Both the Indians and the Lady Indians are now ranked #9 in the AA State Rankings.  Boy’s head basketball Coach Brad Groce says that he is not sure that has ever happened before.

Both the girls and the boys will be facing off against Rockmart tonight, February 8 for the Region Championship.  The girls game will start at 7 PM and the Boys will start at 8:30 PM.

Good luck to the Chattooga Indians!
