An Indiana man allegedly sent inappropriate pictures to a teenager in neighboring Cherokee County, Alabama last year. Al.com reports that forty-five-year-old James Johnson of Lake County, Indiana allegedly admitted to making “several” contacts with the teenage victim.
Johnson is in trouble with the law in Indiana as well as Alabama. He was charged in October of last year with six felonies for sending “matters harmful to minors and possession of child pornography.”
Indiana police say that Centre, Alabama police contacted them after the teenage girl’s mother contacted law enforcement to report the inappropriate messages. The teen last received a phone call from Johnson in July of last year.
Johnson is set to appear in court in Cherokee County, Alabama on February 14t
