Chattooga and Trion State Wrestling Champs!

A state championship is great, but two GHSA State Championships is even better!  Both the Trion Bulldogs and the Chattooga Indians took home Dual Wrestling State Championships on Saturday in Macon.
The Indians defeated Social Circle 59-21 in the three-day wrestling tournament on Saturday.  The Indians had beat Bremen 59-24 and Elbert County 45-27 to advance to the finals .  It was the first time that the Indians took the state title in wrestling.   The Indians were the GHSA Class AA Team Dual Wrestling Champions.

The Trion Bulldogs defeated Landmark Christian 66-6 and Mt. Pisgah Christian 42-22 to advance to the finals where the defeated three-time consecutive state champions Commerce for the Class A Dual State Championship with a final score of 46-25.  It was Trion’s first Dual Championship since GHSA began holding the Dual tournaments in 2002.
