Gov. Kemp Commends State Troopers

Yesterday at the Governor’s Mansion in Atlanta, Georgia Governor Brian Kemp and Georgia’s First Lady took time out of their holiday to have a picture made with Georgia State Troopers and the governor tweeted this message: “Appreciate our State Troopers for working around the clock – and on Christmas – to keep Georgians safe!”.

Troopers were anticipating one of the busiest holiday travel periods in history this year as a record number of motorists were planning to hit the road this year, according to AAA.  The holiday travel period began at 6 PM Christmas Eve and continues until midnight tonight.

As of Christmas evening, two fatalities had been reported on Georgia’s roadways.
