Update on Fatal Crash in Trion

Hometown Headlines in Rome reported on Sunday afternoon that the Georgia State Patrol released some information on a fatal crash that happened in Trion on Saturday afternoon:

From the Georgia State Patrol: On Saturday, at approximately 2 p.m., the Georgia State Patrol investigated a fatal crash that occurred on U.S. 27 at West Oak Street in Chattooga County.  A 2000 Chrysler Sebring was traveling north and was attempting to turn left onto West Oak Street from the center turn lane.

The Sebring failed to yield to the 2010 Ford F 150 that was traveling south in the right lane of U.S. 27.   A 9-year-old female in the Sebring sustained fatal injuries in the crash.

The investigation is continuing.
