The Chattooga County Shrine Club’s annual telethon was once again a success.  This year was the 37th Annual Chattooga Shrine Telethon.  Shriners have reported that the telethon raised $50,000 for Shriner’s Hospitals.

The North American Shriners operate 22 hospitals nationwide that serve thousands of children each year.  There is never any charge to any patient at a Shrine Hospital.  The Shriners rely on donations that are raised by local Shrine Clubs for care and research at the hospitals.

The Chattooga County Shrine Telethon is the oldest, and most successful Shrine Telethon in the United States, thanks to the generous donations of Chattooga County residents, businesses and churches.

The local Shriner’s Telethon is aired over SKY 21, WKSY television in Summerville, GA.
