The Chattooga County Fair Council has released the numbers for this year’s event. In all, 8,360 people came through the gates at the fair, with hundreds more in attendance each night. The totals do not include those that come before the start of the fair to be on hand for the livestock events as well as volunteers and vendors. This year there were more opportunities for free gate admission. The only day students had to pay to get in was on Saturday. Adults got in free on Friday and Sunday. Last year, 9,757 people attended the fair. Financial numbers for the fair will be released at a later date.
The Fair Council has already started planning for next year’s event.
