Trion Woman Cited for Accident

A Trion woman was cited in connection with a Sunday morning accident that left Allgood Street in Trion closed for a period of time.

According to the Georgia State Patrol, sixty-four-year-old Ann Cummings Fowler of a Seventh Street, Trion address was traveling eastbound in a black, 2001 Pontiac Grand Prix GT shortly after 3 AM when she crossed over the center line into the westbound lane and hit a blue, 2007 GMC Envoy head-on.  The GMC was driven by thirty-five-year-old Polly Ellen Kerr of a NW Congress Street, Summerville address.

Fowler, the driver of the Pontiac, was taken to Floyd Medical Center by Redmond EMS with minor injuries.

Ann Fowler was cited by the Georgia State Patrol for failure to maintain a single lane, insurance requirements and a seat belt violation.
