Thirty-Five People Voted Early Yesterday In SPLOST Election

A total of 329 people have voted early in the SPLOST election so far, with 35 voters casting their ballots on Tuesday.

Chattooga County voters are deciding if they want to keep a one-cent sales tax that helps to fund infrastructure projects for the county and municipalities.

Voting continues through this Friday from 8:30 AM until 5 PM at the Registrar Office, located on Commerce Street just south of the Chattooga County Courthouse.

Election Day is March 19th.  All polling places will be open next Tuesday for the election.  Remember, if you wait until next Tuesday to vote, you will have to go to your polling place to cast your ballot.  There will be no voting at the Registrar Office on Election Day.  Polls will be open on Election Day from 7 AM until 7 PM.
