18-YEAR-OLD DIES AFTER MARTINSVILLE SHOOTOUT: Law Enforcement Calls It Isolated Incident

MARTINSVILLE, Ind.- The Morgan County Major Crimes Task Force is looking into the shooting death of an 18-year-old north of Martinsville early Sunday morning.

Police say a shootout occurred shortly after 12:30 a.m. on September 15 at a property on Robb Hill Road, near Brooklyn Fire Station 42.

According to the Morgan County Sheriff’s Office, one individual was hit before getting into his car and driving away. He made it down Robb Hill Road to the crossroads of State Roads 39 and 142, where he died of his injuries.

According to WTHR, Thawng Tha Sang, 18, was identified as the victim on Sunday afternoon by the Morgan County Coroner’s Office.

The Morgan County Sheriff’s Office reports that no arrests have been made, but law enforcement believes this is an isolated occurrence with no threat to the public.
