DALLAS – An accident that occurred when the incoming college student and her parents were traveling to North Texas for move-in day resulted in their deaths.

Andril Arvind, who was 17 years old at the time, was anticipating starting her first year of college at the University of Texas in Dallas this week. In the present moment, her family and the community of her high school band are grieving the loss of both her and her parents.

At Rouse High School in Leander, which is located close to Austin, Andril was a member of the color guard. She received her diploma in May and intended to enroll in the computer science program at UTD.

On Wednesday of last week, Andril and her parents, Padreepa Arvind, and Mani Arvind, were on their way to North Texas when they were involved in an accident.

DPS reports that a driver who was speeding in a Cadillac experienced a tire rupture on United States Highway 281 in Lampasas. After that, the vehicle veered into the path of oncoming traffic and collided with the SUV belonging to the Arvind family.

The collision resulted in the deaths of Andril and her parents.

In addition, the driver of the Cadillac and his passenger were also murdered.

The reason that Andril’s brother, who is 14 years old, remained behind, according to friends of the family, was because he was beginning his first year of high school.

A GoFundMe campaign for the adolescent who was abandoned by his family has brought in more than $800,000.
