On Sunday, the police in Prince William County said that they had detained and charged a 15-year-old kid in connection with a fatal shooting that took place in Woodbridge on Tuesday.

At around 12:45 in the am on June 18, the Prince William County Police Department (PWCPD) attended the Mistry Ridge Apartments, which are located in the 15000 block of Lost Canyon Court, to investigate a shooting that had occurred there.

They discovered a boy of seventeen years old suffering from gunshot wounds located on the outdoor stairs at that location. He was transferred to a hospital, but he did not survive his stay there. The perpetrator of the shooting was recognized by the police as a male resident of the apartment complex who was 18 years old.

According to the investigators, the 17-year-old and the 15-year-old were traveling from South Carolina to Woodbridge, and they had planned to rob the 18-year-old resident of marijuana and money while they were there.

Following their arrival at his front door, they attempted to force their way inside the flat but they were unsuccessful in obtaining a response. Following the PWCPD, the child, who was 17 years old at the time, broke a window into the room where the occupant, who was 18 years old, was sleeping.

After the young man, who was only 17 years old, had entered his flat, the man shot him multiple times.

The young man, who was just 15 years old at the time, ran away from the scene and, at one point, shot upon the apartment complex. There was no additional injury that was reported.

After some time, the young man was located in Fredericksburg, and he was taken into custody on Sunday. The police were able to recover two guns.

As a result of the investigation, the 15-year-old was charged with participating in the conduct of a criminal that resulted in the death of his associate, who was 17 years old.

In addition to being charged with criminal murder, he was also charged with burglary to commit a felony and shoot into a residence that was occupied. The Juvenile Detention Center is where he is now being kept.
