HARRIS COUNTY, Texas – A youngster has been arrested and charged with murder after a woman was discovered stabbed to death in the backyard of a northwest Harris County residence, according to Sheriff Ed Gonzalez.
Deputies responded to a call for assistance on Sunshine Meadow Drive in Hockley at 7 p.m. on Saturday, July 20. A few days later, Gonzalez identified the victim as Dana Magnuson, age 62. He stated that she was an active part of the community.
According to HCSO, Magnuson’s son informed responding deputies that his mother had been found deceased in the backyard.
On July 29, Gonzalez reported that the suspect, a 15-year-old boy, had been arrested and charged. According to Gonzalez, he is being detained at the Harris County Juvenile Detention Center.
