A North Texas man was sentenced to 120 years in prison on Thursday after filming himself assaulting a toddler and using hidden cameras to take nude images of preteens.

Leslie Michael Alt, 40, pled guilty to two charges of producing child pornography and three counts of transporting child pornography. On Thursday, federal judge Ada Brown of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas sentenced Alt to 1,440 months in prison, or 120 years.

The investigation was performed by Grand Prairie police, as well as state and federal officials.

When the FBI raided Alt’s Forney house in August 2022, they discovered sexually graphic videos on a PC.

During the search, an FBI detection dog discovered a safe in Alt’s closet. It was open and seemed to be empty, but the dog continued to warn agents to the safe. Agents removed the carpeted flooring of the safe and discovered SD cards and a hidden camera. On one of the cards, investigators discovered footage of Alt sexually abusing a toddler.

“Seeing the photographs he had of my daughter as a child devastated me. “She was unable to express her discomfort and communicate to me, her mother, that any of this was happening to her,” the victim’s mother stated at sentencing. “She currently has no conscious remembrance of what transpired. One day, I’ll have to inform her.

One of the teenage victims also spoke, stating that learning of the defendant’s conduct “shattered” her.

“My trust had been used against me, and I would never fully recover,” she stated. “It makes me sick to my stomach.”
