After a fatal collision that occurred early on Thursday morning in Arden-Arcade, a man was taken into custody on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol.
As stated by the California Highway Patrol, the incident took place at approximately 12:30 in the morning on Fair Oaks Boulevard at Mission Avenue.

A male in his 20s was driving a Dodge Ram that was traveling west on Fair Oaks Boulevard, according to the California Highway Patrol. At the same time, a woman in her 60s was driving a Chevrolet Camaro that was traveling south on Mission Avenue.
As a result of the collision between the two vehicles at the junction, the driver of the Camaro was killed. There was no injury sustained by the driver of the Dodge.
The driver of the Dodge was taken into custody by the California Highway Patrol (CHP) on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol.
Officers of the law are continuing their investigation into the accident.
